When I was a cute craftie (Craft Services) on the set of Malevolent with @officiallou_diamondphillips - oh the early 2000s were fun times 😂❤️ I was all of 20 years old and the guys on set loved to mess with me. A part time craftie and a part time barista in Venice Beach, just hoping I could work my way up into the art department, camera and who knows what else. I remember taking this shot but thought it was on an old plastic disposable long gone. Here we are.
While I impatiently wait for more rolls to develop While I impatiently wait for more rolls to develop and scan, here are some medium format snaps from the Japanese Garden in Portland. I swear there were other people there. But I waited for just the right moments in between the crowds. This was on Fathers Day a few years back. It was so busy there, and as I carried around my #rolleiflex I felt a bit of peace and sentiment for my own stepdad who gave me his camera when I was just 13. What I love about 120 film is the need to be greedy with it. With just 12 shots, you really force yourself to be picky about your subjects. I don’t always succeed at this but it is a nice lesson in patience. Being in a busy place also had me pausing for the perfect moments. Spending several minutes at a time in one spot helped me see potential where I may have overlooked.

It blows my mind that I’ve been carrying around th It blows my mind that I’ve been carrying around this film for almost 30 years! Baby me, my high school sweetheart, and the @daytona 200 in 1996 or 97. Expired slide film I just developed this week. It was 97 - Scott Russell won that year. Taken on my Canon A-1 and pretty new to photography but my step dad gave me some good tips. I still have this camera and will always have it. It has literally traveled the world with me. It got me here. It kept me inspired. Look at how cool I was. Florida 90’s beach girlie in all its glory. 😍 #expiredfilmclub
